A One-Night-Only Dining Experience in Des Moines — Saturday, May 23, 2026

Each Saturday evening, Table 128 offers a Chef’s Tasting Menu — a three-course, one-night-only dinner created by Chef Lynn and the culinary team.

The menu changes weekly, is never repeated, and is served alongside our regular dinner menu.

This week’s menu feels fully rooted in late spring — lighter textures, brighter flavors, and dishes designed around produce beginning to hit its stride.

We begin with an arugula & tomato salad layered with heirloom tomato, melted maverick tomatoes, whipped mascarpone, lemon vinaigrette, and petit croutons. Fresh, balanced, and built around the season.

The second course features pork tenderloin, sous vide and seared, served with sweet corn succotash, beet butter, crispy garlic, and micro greens — rich and comforting, but still bright and vibrant.

Dessert finishes with chiffon cake layered with honey syrup, sweet cream sabayon, and pepper jelly brittle — delicate, lightly floral, and a clean finish to the evening.

Optional wine pairings are available with each course.

About the Chef’s Tasting Menu

The Chef’s Tasting Menu has long been part of the rhythm of Saturday evenings at Table 128.

Each week, Chef Lynn and the culinary team create a completely new three-course menu inspired by the season, the ingredients currently coming through the kitchen, and the style of cooking that feels most exciting to share at that moment. Once the evening ends, the menu is retired and never repeated.

What began years ago as a way to create a more focused and intentional dining experience has become one of our favorite traditions at the restaurant.

The tasting menu is designed to feel thoughtful, seasonal, and approachable — offering guests the opportunity to experience dishes and combinations that often exist for just a single evening.

Menus frequently highlight seasonal produce, fresh seafood, house-made components, and carefully selected wine pairings chosen to complement the progression of the meal.

Unlike many tasting experiences, the Chef’s Tasting Menu at Table 128 is served alongside our regular dinner menu, allowing guests the flexibility to enjoy either the tasting experience or order à la carte.

Over the years, these Saturday evenings have become a favorite for date nights, anniversaries, celebrations, and guests simply looking for a unique dining experience in Des Moines.
