A One-Night-Only Dining Experience in Des Moines — Saturday, May 2, 2026
Each Saturday evening, Table 128 offers a Chef’s Tasting Menu — a three-course, one-night-only dinner created by Chef Lynn and the culinary team.
The menu changes weekly, is never repeated, and is served alongside our regular dinner menu. Guests may enjoy the tasting experience or order à la carte.
This week’s menu leans into classic French-inspired flavors with a spring perspective — bright acidity, layered richness, and comforting technique.
We begin with a grilled little gem Caesar salad, featuring anchovy and parmesan vinaigrette, parmesan crisp, and toasted focaccia. Smoky, savory, and balanced.
The second course features chicken confit, made with duck fat cured leg and thigh, slow-cooked onions and white sauce, pickled shallots, asparagus, carrot ribbon, and crispy potato. Rich and comforting while still feeling fresh and seasonal.
Dessert finishes with a classic éclair, layered with chocolate glaze, orange pastry cream, and fresh orange zest.
Optional wine pairings are available with each course.

What Is the Chef’s Tasting Menu?
The Chef’s Tasting Menu at Table 128 is a three-course dining experience offered Saturday evenings only.
Each week, Chef Lynn and the Table 128 culinary team create a completely new menu inspired by the season, the ingredients currently inspiring the kitchen, and the style of cooking we’re most excited to share at that moment. Once the evening is over, the menu is retired and never repeated.
The tasting menu is designed to feel thoughtful, relaxed, and approachable — whether you’re joining us for a date night, celebrating a special occasion, or simply looking for a unique dining experience in Des Moines.
Optional wine pairings are available with each course and are selected to complement the progression of the evening.
The Chef’s Tasting Menu is served alongside our regular dinner menu, allowing guests to enjoy either the tasting experience or order à la carte.
Reservations are recommended, though walk-ins are always welcome based on availability.
